At the beginning of Chapter 11, Maria Love is still skeptical about Inanna’s claims. Then she witnesses Inanna intervene in an apparent alien abduction by a race she refers to as the Z. This heated exchange occurs after the recovery of the human abductee.
Excerpt from Chapter 11 – Truth Shock
Inanna turned back toward Maria. She hovered over her somewhat menacingly, “You wanted some truth. You just received some. The Z’s abduct human beings every day. This is why they have such a prominent place in your UFO lore. They conduct experiments and even traffic humans throughout this part of the galaxy. Your species makes quite good servants. I’ve made it part of my personal mission to stop as many abductions as I can.”
“So, our governments just allow this,” asked Maria incredulously.
“Your governments have no choice. Some have made deals with the Z’s and other races to prevent the mass harvesting of humans.”
“And where do the Anunnaki stand on human harvesting?” Maria asked with contempt.
“I do not permit it. My government has its own agendas and secrets concerning Earth. We can discuss this later.”
“What is the usual procedure?”
Inanna looked quizzically at Maria.
“You ordered your doctor to perform the usual procedure on the human.”
“His short- term memory will be erased and he will awake in his bed at home with a bit of a headache and an interesting dream.”
“He’s a human being, not an animal. You can’t drug him like a bear in the woods. Doesn’t he have a right to know what happened to him?
“Collectively, yes, you all have a right to know. For one individual, it’s better this way. It could cause him great harm to know.”
“It sounds as though it is causing all of us great harm not to know.”
