(Austin, TX) Pete Rogers is a brash 30-something executive on a mission. Six months ago he co-founded America’s Next Network (ANN) based in Austin, TX. The upstart network has rapidly claimed market share from established news networks, but is still viewed as a relative outsider in Washington, New York, and among other network executives.
Rogers strikes a defiant tone seated in his 27th floor office overlooking downtown Austin. He shrugs off criticism of his fledgling network as a jealous attempt to maintain the “old boys club.”
“ANN is only possible,” he says, “because the existing news networks failed in their responsibility to the American people. They thrive on creating and expanding conflict – personal, national, and global. They stopped serving the public interest and began serving advertiser money. ANN is the inevitable response to that violation of their journalistic responsibility.”
I ask him how ANN will be different.
“That’s simple. Our objective is the truth. We’re not here to coddle special interests or cater to the Military Industrial Complex. Journalism, done correctly, protects the freedom of the people and maintains a healthy transparency. These other networks are too close to the power players.”
As for how he’ll take down behemoth networks like Fox News, CNN, and the traditional news networks. “Small strokes fell great oaks,” he smiles quoting Benjamin Franklin. “They should be asking how they are going to stop us.”
ANN is a fictional network in the new speculative fiction offering- Anunnaki Awakening: Revelation by Ray Davis. This novel is shaking paradigms among skeptics and believers alike in the area of human origins. It’s a clever mix of ancient knowledge, modern conspiracy, and page-turning excitement.
One reader wrote, “(My) mind is officially blown!”
Author Graham Hancock said, “We are a species with amnesia.” This book begins the awakening. Is it fact? Is it fiction? You decide!
